i know most people say the christmas season flies by fast, but i never truly believed it until this season. it felt like a mix of playing catch-up on the season post-mexico vacay with a healthy dash of too many plans and not enough time. as much of a whirlwind it was this go around - it was also filled with so much quality time with so many quality people. i loved it.
to kick things off, blogging-wise, i thought we could start with a recap of our christmases with our families. i hope you enjoy, and had a great holiday too!

first, T and i went to his parents to have an early webb christmas. it was extra special since one of T's sisters, (and her family) who lives in colorado, was in town visiting. we hadn't gotten to see them, nor my adorable niece, in several months.
it was wonderful to get to be altogether, and watch all of our nieces and nephew play while we caught up.

a couple of days later, T and i drove up to my parents' home to celebrate an early boxing day. traditionally, boxing day is observed the day after christmas, but this year we did it before to make it fit with everyone's travel plans.
as always, the food was dynamite - my dad and i went with a french cuisine theme; the company was stellar; and the entire experience was a night to remember.

christmas eve, my dad planned an extra special treat for all of us. typically, we go out to a nice dinner, but he decided to kick things up a notch by coordinating a driver for the night to take us out on the town. the night was indulgent, meaningful, and cozy. all the ingredients to make for a beautiful eve.

christmas morning, went its standard slow pace. i always love it. no rush to race off to go anywhere or even change out of holiday-themed jammies. accompanied with a side of my parents' biscuits and gravy...yum.

post-unwrapping/gifting of presents, we ventured to my aunt and uncle's home for christmas dinner with all the cousins. then, it was on to play family white elephant! lots of stealing, trading, and smack talking aka a really entertaining night.
