wedding week: decor & details

[our unplugged ceremony programs]

as T and i planned our wedding, we knew a day-of coordinator was an absolute must. while we didn't require a full-time wedding coordinator, being the avid diy-er i am, we would need someone to keep the calm. our wedding venue had a lot of natural beauty being in the northern hills of my hometown surrounded by beautiful trees with a dynamite view. so, for the decor, we created fun pops of our wedding colors (caribbean shades of blue and peach) to highlight what we already loved about the space. from using dip-dyed fabric as a curtain to hang behind before walking down the aisle, to peach florals included in the lapels, bouquets, and bow-ties, to the blue ribbon wands, it was perfect and just how we pictured it to be.

five moments

[our first and second kiss]

our wedding, was one of the best and most beautiful days of my life. to be surrounded by all of our loved ones near and far for this huge commitment to each other was a moment we will never forget. it was pure magic and more than we could have ever dreamed. next week, i'll share more about the big day but, for today, here are my five favorite moments.

life, according to my iphone

[mix 'n match patterns; afternoon tea with my favorite local songbird]

today marks one whole month T and i have been married...how crazy is that? but, in a good way! still crazy how fast the first month flew by and all that happened in it. we got married, went on our honeymoon, moved out of our first place together and moved into our home (that we own). it's been hectic, wonderful, hair-raising, beautiful, a crazy tornado of chaos and plans, and most of all, life. cannot wait to see where this adventure of our newly married life goes. i surely do love that baldy.

hallo-warming

over the weekend, T and i had a few friends over to have an unofficial hallo-warming party! since we'd just moved in, we kept the decor simple and used lots of plastic jack-o-lanterns, spider webs and candles. paired with beer, and a delicious apple punch i whipped up, it had all the makings of being a fun first party in our new place.

one of moments i was most looking forward to was our group costume as the addams family! alex and larry were wednesday and pugsley, laun and andrew were morticia and gomez, and T and i were uncle fester and thing. it was pretty fun to see how much the gang got into it...especially T. he really had that look down!

[creepy but, awesome]

i also loved seeing some of the other costumes like james harden, jesus, and mary poppins with bert.
