last friday, alex, jana and i got dolled up to go see the nutcracker at the okc civic center. it was so fun to go and see all the little girls with their moms (and grandmas) since it reminded me of my first memories of the play. my mom and i would get dressed up, snack on junior mints, and i would pretend i was one of the ballerinas on stage.
however, since we were enjoying it as adults this time, the girls and i decided to partake in some of their themed drinks offered. our favorite was the sugar plum fairy with peppermint, sprite and vodka.

it was such a beautiful performance given by the ballerinas and philharmonic that left us all dreaming of sugar plums dancing in our heads ;)
