#soontobestippler

our spring wedding season has come to a close, but not before celebrating the long anticipated nuptials of my dear friends whitney and gabe. as an even sweeter bonus, it was a mini reunion of my spain-auburn gals. the four of us have been bonded together ever since we met studying abroad in college. and while we are all miles and miles away from each other, nothing about our friendship has changed. so you can imagine how thrilled we were to get to see each other, even if for a short time.

rehearsal day/night:

the day of the wedding we spent most of our time helping our sweet bride with wedding to-dos and revel in the events to come. but don't worry, our beaus had loads of fun together eating bbq, sampling beers, and sending selfies to us.

[color decisions]

once we'd wrapped up the last to-dos, it was time for a little pampering before the rehearsal and dinner to follow. i mean, you should always try to make time to treat yourself...right? ;)

[practice makes perfect]

after the rehearsal, we made our way to the dinner where we heard beautiful toasts, ate delicious food, and laughed at all the old photos of the bride and groom growing up. seriously, gabe needs to bring back that leather jacket and shaggy hair!

[backyard lounging]

that night, laura + luke and T + i made our way back to jess + john's house. there was a storm rolling through, so we decided to hang in, sip cocktails, and see where the night took us.

wedding day:

mimosas a flowing, makeup and hair being done, and a gorgeous bride getting closer to saying i do. of all the brides i've known, i have to say, whit was the calmest and most relaxed one i've ever ever seen. when asked if she had the jitters, she simply responded with, "no, i'm just ready to see him". how great is that?!

then, we made our way (all 10 bridesmaids and the bride) to the church to snap photos, and get our girl down the aisle.

[love these two]

then, as long as it took to plan and prepare, it was official, they were married! i couldn't be happier for two people to tie the knot, and embark on life as newlyweds. it truly is rare to meet a couple who is so perfectly matched, but these two make it look easy.

so, it is now time to par-tay. this was probably the coolest reception venue i've ever been to, as it was at a baseball field during a minor league game. we were in a private ballroom that led to a outdoor balcony where we could watch the game. between that, the motown band, and the mac 'n cheese, i was in absolute heaven.

after the reception and official send-off, the bridal party met up with the newlyweds downtown to continue celebrating. it was so great to get to spend more time with these two before their honeymoon. plus, it was our last night in town so we wanted to soak up all the extra time we could with this gang.

congrats again whit and gabe! can't wait to come visit you two.
