nye

known as the best/worst holiday (depending on who you ask), is new year's eve. i've learned over the years to have a laissez faire attitude towards it as to not get caught up in the hype of it being some movie-like monumental party. my criteria is simple, make sure i'm next to a certain baldy to smooch at midnight. if we have plans or don't have plans, i'm happy either way. this year, we celebrated our friend's birthday double dating with larry and alex.

[cheers to the birthday girl!]

[sticking close to the sweets]

[ringing in the birthday girl's day and nye with sparkling sake]

[kisses for rudolph]

the party was filled with great friends, great drinks, and great memories to start the new year off right.

[champagne, a must]

[5...4...3...2...1...happy new year!]

once we got back to norman, i thought the perfect way to close out the night would be with a few fireworks. there were roman candles shot off (with huck, the lab, barking along), sparklers twirled, and smoke bombs lit. i figure, the new year deserves a few sparks. plus, it happens to be my favorite way to close out the holiday.

happy new year!
